RenewAire®, a Waunakee, WI-based manufacturer of HVAC and indoor air quality (IAQ) products, is excited to announce the introduction of a new in-house coating system at their Dane, Wisconsin facility. RenewAire commercial products are designed with 100% galvanized substrates on all exterior surfaces. The new paint system starts with metal preparation to the base substrate followed by a PPG Primer coat and a secondary topcoat of PPG RenewAire White or a color of your choosing. Both finishing steps are cured in a 140-degree oven.
The epoxy primer provides a wide range of performance features that include excellent adhesion, chemical resistance, and corrosion protection. PPG’s AUE-370 topcoat is a two-component acrylic urethane delivering a high solid, high build film. This product offers low volatile organic compounds (VOCs), below average levels, no hazardous air pollutants (HAPs) and is also lead and chrome free. Prior to purchasing their system, RenewAire completed lab testing on over 90 panels coated with these products. Test results showed exceptional adhesion and best in class corrosion protection that exceeded 2500-hour salt spray as well as excellent color and gloss retention.
All finishing is completed in the new Global Finishing Paint Booth which complies with NFPA33, OSHA 1910.107 and UL900. LED light fixtures inside the booth provide an amazing 750+LUX light level offering up to 40% energy savings. Our trained technicians are equipped with Graco 85KV electrostatic paint guns that guarantee an exceptional finish.
